Badin Business Park announced today that Custom Alloy Corporation, a leading manufacturer of pipe fittings and forgings, has signed a long-term lease to produce critical components for U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers at Badin Business Park, located on the site of the former Alcoa aluminum smelter in Stanly County. The new facility will create 40 jobs with an average salary higher than the Stanly County average wage.

Custom Alloy will manufacture its Navy Fitting Product Line and new Specialty Pipe Product Line at the Badin Business Park facility. These products will enable the company to provide the military with faster deliveries and increased capacity, leading to less turbulence in the supply chain.

Custom Alloy will invest $8.1 million in its new facility at Badin Business Park, considered one of the best industrial sites available in North Carolina. The company is expected to begin work on the Stanly County site in 2022 and create 40 jobs within two years.
