A group of more than three dozen stakeholders interested in environmental issues related to Badin Business Park gathered in Salisbury on March 23 for a workshop designed to help build understanding and trust. The half-day workshop was organized by Robyn Gross (Badin Business Park) and Edgar Miller (Yadkin Riverkeeper) and facilitated by Dr. John B. Stephens (UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government).
The purpose of the workshop was to build understanding and trust among stakeholders interested in Badin Business Park’s NPDES permitted discharges and monitoring of water quality in Badin Lake and Little Mountain Creek, with the overall goal of protecting water resources.
A summary of the meeting, including the workshop agenda, a list of attendees and copies of presentations from Badin Business Park and the NC Department of Environmental Quality, is available online.
